Azerbaijan, Baku, 28 January / corr. Trend E. Huseynli/ Part of European Court decisions on human rights violations in Azerbaijan are connected to negative facts against police bodies. Fuad Alasgarov, the head of the Presidential Administration Department for Work with Law Enforcement Bodies said at an Interior Ministry meeting.

The European Court on Human Rights brought in 26 verdicts concerning violation of human rights in Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani government confirmed the violation of human rights on eleven verdicts of the court. The Azerbaijani Government paid compensation to those whose rights were violated in accordance with European Court decisions that were confirmed by the government, Alasgarov said. According to Alasgarov, the Azerbaijani police should observe the conditions of the Procedural Criminal and Administrational legislation, he said.

The Azerbaijani Government appeals to the European Court on Human Rights to restore the rights of Azerbaijani citizens and displaced persons as well as those whose rights were violated as a result of Armenia's aggressive policy, the department head of the Presidential Administration said.
