Azerbaijan, Baku, 2 April / Trend corr G. Jabiyev/ The Advisory Council uniting five political organizations considers it impossible to cooperate with the Azadlig bloc. "Even if the bloc refuses from boycotting the elections, we do not intend to cooperate with it," Sardar Jalaloglu, the Chair of the Democratic Part of Azerbaijan (DPA) and its presidential candidate, said to Trend on 21 April.

The Advisory Council unites the Democratic Party, the National Independence Party, Taraggi, Musavat and the public forum For Azerbaijan. The members of the organization intend to sign an agreement on cooperation during the presidential elections to take place in October. The Azadlig bloc uniting three opposition parties - the Liberal Party, the Popular Front Party, the Citizens and Development Party - intends to boycott the elections.

Jalaloglu said that, besides the approach to the elections, there are also other differences between the two organizations.

The Co-chair of Azadlig Ali Aliyev said to Trend that the bloc is not interested in cooperation with the Advisory Council.

ADP was founded by Sardar Jalaloglu in1991. By January 2007 the party occupied an oppositional position against the authorities. The party took a new political course in dialogue with the authorities in January 2007. Rasul Guliyev, the former chairman of the party, and his supporters separated from the party protesting against the new political course of the party and founded their new Open Society Party.
