Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 April / Trend corr I. Alizade/ The Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament has invited his colleagues from Turkmenistan. "Expansion of the relationships between our Parliaments is of great importance in terms of exchange of the information and experience," the Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov said at a meeting with the delegation headed by Turkmenistan Defence Minister Agageldi Mammadgeldiyev on 7 April.
The Turkmen Defence Minister is on a visit to Baku.
Asadov said that Azerbaijan attaches great importance towards the development of relations with Turkmenistan, with which it has common historical and cultural roots. "Rapidly developing Azerbaijan is ready for cooperation with Turkmenistan in all the fields. There are good opportunities for deepening the economic relations," he said.
Mammadgeldiyev voiced his interest in cooperation with the developing Azerbaijan in different fields.
