Babayeva/ The youth generation of refuges and IDPs of Azerbaijan will unite to support the current President Ilham Aliyev, Vugar Gadirov, the chairman of Youth Movement of Refugees and IDPs of Azerbaijan and the member of Council on Government Assistance to NGOs under Azerbaijani Presidential Administration said to media on 22 April.
"The decisive position of President Ilham Aliyev in the Nagorno-Karabakh talks has been positively assessed by all the refugees and IDPs and the younger generation supports him in all matters," Gadirov said.
The presidential elections in Azerbaijan will be held on 15 October 2008. Isa Gambar, the head of Musavat Party, Sardar Jalaloglu, head of Democratic Party of Azerbaijan will run for the elections from the opposition. Mais Gulaliyev, the head of Green Party of Azerbaijan also plans to run for presidency.
The ruling Yeni Azerbaijan Party has announced that Ilham Aliyev, the chairman of the party and current President will be nominated for the presidential elections.
Gadirov said that the Election Movement 'For Karabakh together with Ilham' will be set up as soon as the election campaign begins. A preliminary agreement with the non-government organizations in this regard has already been reached.
