Azerbaijan, Baku, 25 April /corr. Trend J.Babayeva / On 4 May, five of the opposition parties of Azerbaijan will support the demonstration of Musavat Party. The Press and Propaganda Secretary of Azerbaijan National Independence Party (ANIP), Ali Orujov, reported to Trend on 25 April.
The five parties include Azerbaijan Democratic Party, ANIP, Taraggi Party, Musavat Party and Public Forum 'For Azerbaijan'.
Musavat Party made a decision to hold a demonstration on 4 May, demanding changes to the Electoral Code. The demonstration will protest against the efforts to shorten the period of election campaign from four to two months.
According to Orujov, if these five parties and Musavat cooperate and exchange views, the initiative to support their meeting should be accepted as a natural gesture.
"The support does not mean organization of Musavat demonstration. The representatives of these parties will join the protest as independent political forces," Orujov said.
