Azerbaijan, Baku, 1 May /corr. Trend S.Ihamgizi / The new Socialist Party of Azerbaijan (SPA) call on to fight for the social-economic and citizen rights. In its statement made on 1 May, in honor of the Day of Workers - 1 May, the Party has calls on the workers of Azerbaijan to protest against the monopoly, groundless price increase, illegal dismissal, and to establish independent trade unions. The socialists congratulated Azeri people on Workers' Day and asked them o strengthen the solidarity before the social and economic difficulties being capital exploitation.
During the meeting of the party's Central Executive Committee, the Chairman of SPA Organizational Committee, Rustam Shahsuvarov, was elected as the Chairman of Central Executive Committee.
Earlier Shahsuvarov and his supporters were the members of Azerbaijan Communist Party. After the death of party's chairman Ramiz Ahmadov, last year, internal difference appeared in the party and the party split into two parts. Shahsuvarov and his supporters established their own party.
