Babayev/ If registration of the Election Monitoring Center (EMC) is announced to be invalid or it is canceled, the Center will appeal the European Court on Human Rights. Intigam Aliyev, the chairman of the Center said in the proceedings in the Khatai District Court, a source in EMC reported.
EMC was registered by the Ministry of Justice in February in 2008. Two months later, the Ministry of Justice appealed the court to recognize the registration of EMC as invalid and to cancel it.
On 12 May, Afhan Bakhishov, the representative of the Ministry of Justice once again demanded to cancel the registration of the organization in the meeting of the Khatai District Court presided over by Tofig Pashayev.
The representative of EMC said that the claim the Ministry is groundless.
The judge said that court proceedings will be held on the positions of both parties and they will be informed about it in the near future.
