Azerbaijan, Baku, 26 May / corr. Trend M. Aliyev/ Matthew Bryza, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, will visit Azerbaijan in early June to take part in the annual Caspian oil and gas exhibition, Bryza said to Trend by an electronic mail from Washington on 26 May.
On 3 June, the 15th international Caspian oil and gas exhibition will be held in Baku.
Bryza spoke about the meeting with the Azerbaijani President in Ukraine, within the framework of the energy summit on 24 May. "We discussed energy security issues," he said.
Commenting on the recent visit by the Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Azerbaijan, the American diplomat said that "The United States commends the recent moves of both countries to improve relations".
The Turkmen President visited Azerbaijan on 19-20 May. A total of 7 joint documents were signed and energy cooperation was discussed during the visit.
