Iranians Breaking South Borders of Azerbaijan Detained
Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 June /corr. Trend K.Zarbaliyeva / Confrontation appeared in Azerbaijan's district of Jalilabad between border guards and Iran citizens, who tried to bring drugs to Azerbaijan.
The State Border Service reported that four Iranian citizens not following demands of the border guards fired shoot at them in Jalilabad village of Edish.
To prevent the crime, the border guards fired at contrabandists as well, and as a result, one of the contrabandists died and two were wounded.
The State Border Service stated that the three Iranian citizens were detained. The wounded Iranian are under treatment in Central Hospital of Jalilabad.
39kg hashish, 3kg heroin, 1 AKMS submachine gun, 4 mobile phones, $5900, 2 night devises were taken from the contrabandists.
A criminal case was filed in investigation department of the Service.
