Azerbaijan, Baku, 28 June / corr. Trend K. Zarbaliyeva/ The meeting of the Council of the Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will be held in Batumi on 28-29 June. According to information released by the Executive Committee of CIS, the draft agreement on exchange of information in a fight against crime and program of cooperation against illegal migration for 2009-2011 will subject of discussions.
This program is the second similar document created within the Commonwealth. It was developed in line with the decision of the Council for Management of CIS Migration Agencies of 3 April 2008. The term of the previous document expires in 2008. The program aims at improving cooperation among CIS countries in a fight against illegal migration.
The set of measures indicated in the document are based on the analysis of the current state of migration and forecast of its rapid growth, productive scientific studies and experience of fight against illegal migration and experience gained in a sphere of joint work of the appropriate administrations of CIS.
The members of the Council of Ministers will discuss the opening of the hot line to coordinate the measures to fight crime in information technology sphere, pilot program of the website of unified data base of the educational institutions of the Foreign Ministries in CIS etc.
