Azerbaijan, Baku, 25 July / Trend corr. E.Babayev/ On 27 July, the Azerbaijan Communist Party (ACP) will divulge its decision regarding participation in the upcoming presidential elections. "The form of participation will be determined at the meeting of party's administration," Chairman of CPA Rauf Gurbanov said to Trend on 25 July.

Ramiz Ahmadov, who was chairing the party since its foundation, died on 10 September 2007, his death followed by differences between deputy chairmen. As a result, the party split in two parts - the supporters of the ACP first deputy chairman Rauf Gurbanov and those of Rustam Shahsuvarov.

In 2000-05, Gurbanov was an MP.

Gurbanov said ACP would not boycott the elections. "Anyway, we will participate in the election process. But it is too early to speak about form of participation. That will depend on the decision to be taken during the discussions," said Gubanov.
