Europe is More than Partner for Georgia Providing Finance: Georgian Minister

Georgia, Tbilisi, August 26 /corr. Trend N.Kirtskhalia/ At the meeting with the representative of the the European Commision (EC) Appraisal Mission, Victor Andre Maldonald, and the Council of Europe (CE) High Commissioner on Protection of Human Rights, Tomas Khamarberg, the State Minister of Reintegration Issues of Georgia, Temur Yakobashvili, acquainted the guests with the problems of repatitaion of refugees and their provision with jobs, as well as other priorities.

The state minister stated that the political issues were also discussed at the end of the meeting. These developments shoud be a problem of Europe, as well, "Violation of human rights, propety rights and forced replacement of people from their native lands should not be left out of attention," Yakobashvili stated.

"Georgia regards Europe as a partner which is able to render not only financial, but also political assistance," he said.

The State Minister also touched upon the exchange of POWs and stated that in this issue the main deposit was given by patriarchate, which greatly contrbuted in release of dozens of people.
