Azerbaijan, Baku, 26 August /corr. Trend D.Ibrahimova / The
collapse in the Governmental coalition in Pakistan created the contradictory
and unpredictable situation on the eve of the presidential elections, scheduled
for September.
"The union of two Moslem leagues under the
leadership of the former President, Perviz Musharraf, and the former Prime
Minister Navaz Sharif will deliver a blow the governmental Pakistan Peoples Party, and this will considerably
aggravate the situation in the country," Farooq Tariq, representative of Labour
Party of Pakistan, told Trend by telephone from Islamabad on 26 August.
The Muslim League Party, headed by Navaz Sharif, left the Governmental coalition, BBC reported. After President of Pakistan Perviz Musharraf's resignation last week, the candidates of two competing parties - Muslim League and Peoples Party of Pakistan - fight for the post of Head of the State.
According to Tariq, candidate from the
Peoples Party, Asif Ali Zardari, is unpopular amongst the voters. After this
party came to power, reforms were carried out neither in the political nor in
the economic life of the country, and an increase occurred in the prices for
the energy resources and transport.
"I consider that it is impossible to trust on him. Zardari did not fulfill his promises,
and therefore, I do not think that he will gain victory in the upcoming
elections," Farooq said.
Pakistani expert on domestic policy Abdulanis Hay considers that although the collapse in the governmental coalition will create problems for the Peoples Party of Pakistan, most likely, precisely it will win the upcoming elections.
