A.Huseynbala / The Congress of European Azerbaijanis (CEA) urged all member-organizations and all Azerbaijani citizens living in Europe actively to participate in the presidential elections. The elections, which can seriously influence on public and political process in Azerbaijan, is too important for Azerbaijanis living in Europe, the CEA statement on the presidential elections, which will be held in Azerbaijan on 15 October, reported, the State Committee for Azerbaijanis Living in Europe said on 2 October.
The CEA, which was established in 2004 and unites more than Azerbaijani Diasporas in the European countries, plans actively to participate in propaganda campaign. The CEA member-organizations plans to old necessary measures to provide the Azerbaijani citizens living in Europe to come to polling stations, which are established at embassies and consulates, and to take part in the elections process. The organization targets to provide our countrymen actively to participate in public and political processes in Azerbaijan.
The presidential elections in Azerbaijan will be held on 15 October. A total of seven candidates will take part in the elections including Ilham Aliyev, chairman of Ruling New Azerbaijan Party, Igbal Agazade, chairman of opposition Umid (Hope) Party, Fazil Gazanfaroglu, chairman of Great Establishment Party, Gudrat Hasanguliyev, chairman of Unified Popular Front Party, Hafiz Hajiyev, chairman of Muasir Musavat Party, Fuad Aliyev, chairman of Liberal Democrat Party and independent candidate Gulamhuseyn Alibayli.
The CEA urges all Azerbaijani citizens, who live in Europe, to support Ilham Aliyev's candidature in the document.
