No Violation Facts Fixed during Voting in Nakhchivan: International Observers

E.Mammadov / According to data of the international organizations, which monitor in the presidential elections of Azerbaijan, violation facts were not fixed during voting in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Aleksey Alexandrovich and Olga Proskuryakova, members of the CIS Coordination Council observing the elections in Nakhchivan, told Trend .
International observers, who held monitoring at the polling station 50 of the Sharur Constituency Election Commission 2, said that they were satisfied with the election process. Manoli Kostash and Randal Ann, the OSCE observers, followed voting at the polling stations 12 and 13 in Carchibogan village.
Women were more active than men at the polling station 7, which was organized at secondary school in the Yurdchu village of the Babak-Kangarli Constituency Election Commission 3.
About 39% of voters participated in the elections at five polling stations of the Nakhchivan Constituency Election Commission 4 by 02.00PM, Trend regional correspondent reported.
Some 604 electorates out of 1,106, which must have been voted in the polling station 4-10 in the Dramatic Theatre, voted. The OSCE observer and official from the Norway Embassy in Azerbaijan, who monitor the elections in the station, said that the election process was going on normally within the international law frameworks. Kanat Mombetov and Kayrat Kazimov from Kazakhstan, who monitor in the polling station 4-14 in Nakhichivan based Turkish licee, told Trend that if the voting activity would last on the same rate, they would satisfy participation of over 70% electorates in the process.
Maharram Gasimov, chairman of the Election Commission in Nakhichivan, told Trend that over 41% electorates voted in 316 polling stations in seven constituencies in Nakhichivan at 2:00PM. At present, 45 international observers and over 590 local observers monitor the election process in Nakhichivan. Totally 248,335 electorates were registered in Nakhichivan.
Seven candidates are participating in the 15 October presidential elections, including Ilham Aliyev, chairman of ruling New Azerbaijan Party; Igbal Agazade, chairman of opposition Umid (Hope) Party; Fazil Gazanfaroglu, chairman of Great Establishment Party; Gudrat Hasanguliyev, chairman of Unified Popular Front Party; Hafiz Hajiyev, chairman of Muasir Musavat Party; Fuad Aliyev, chairman of Liberal Democrat Party and independent candidate Gulamhuseyn Alibayli.
