Uzbekistan, Tashkent, 15 October / Trend corr. T.Jukov/Most electorates voted for the candidate from the governing party, Ilham Aliyev, in the polling station opened in the Azerbaijani Embassy in Uzbekistan.
"Sixty-six Azerbaijanis out of 66, who reside in Uzbekistan, took part in the presidential elections," Ilkin Ahmadov, the first secretary of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Uzbekistan, told Trend .
The voting was completed at 7:00 at local time.
"The counting of votes revealed that 98.4% voted for the incumbent President Ilham Aliyev," said Ahmadov.
Seven candidates participated in the 15 October presidential elections, including Ilham Aliyev, chairman of ruling New Azerbaijan Party; Igbal Agazade, chairman of opposition Umid (Hope) Party; Fazil Gazanfaroglu, chairman of Great Establishment Party; Gudrat Hasanguliyev, chairman of Unified Popular Front Party; Hafiz Hajiyev, chairman of Muasir Musavat Party; Fuad Aliyev, chairman of Liberal Democrat Party and independent candidate Gulamhuseyn Alibayli.
