Elections ended with presentation of the vote results by CEC

Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 October/ Trend / On 17 October, evening, the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan presented full list of results of votes.

According to the initial results Ilham Aliyev won 88.73% of all votes.

Besides, Igbal Agazade won 2, 86% of votes, Fazil Gazanfaroglu - 2,47%, Gudrat Hsanguliyev - 2, 28%, Gulamhuseyn Alibayli - 2, 23%, Fuad Aliyev - 0,78% and Hafiz Hajiyev - 0,65%.

Seven candidates participated in the 15 October presidential elections, including Ilham Aliyev, chairman of ruling New Azerbaijan Party; Igbal Agazade, chairman of opposition Umid (Hope) Party; Fazil Gazanfaroglu, chairman of Great Establishment Party; Gudrat Hasanguliyev, chairman of Unified Popular Front Party; Hafiz Hajiyev, chairman of Muasir Musavat Party; Fuad Aliyev, chairman of Liberal Democrat Party and independent candidate Gulamhuseyn Alibayli.

According to the rules of the CEC the entire polling stations should present the results not later than 48 hours after end of the elections. In its turn the CEC have to submit the results to the Constitutional Court within 10 days. Eventually the Court of Constitution calls an inauguration ceremony after confirming the results during three days.

In connection with the Presidential elections, the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan established 5,359 polling stations, with 5,148 - constant, 33 - embassy, consulate and constant representations of Azerbaijan abroad.

They cover ten percent of the total number of polling stations. Nearly 1,233 international observers from 60 countries observed the elections in Azerbaijan. The largest missions registered by the Central Election Commission are from the Council of Europe, OSCE and CIS.
