Georgia to Be Member of NATO without Fail, Says Spanish Foreign Minister
Georgia, Tbilisi, 18 October / Trend corr. N.Kirtzkhalia / Georgia will be a member of NATO without fail, which was stated at the Bucharest summit, Miguel Angel Moratinos, the Spanish Foreign Minister said at a joint news conference with his Georgian counterpart Yekaterina Tkeshelashvili in Tbilisi.
However, the Spanish Foreign Minister did not specify an exact time of this event. "This process can be delayed, because some necessary procedures should take place," he said.
Moratinos also refused to answer a question whether Georgia would join NATO without its separatist regions, including Abkhazia and South Ossetia. "It is unimportant to discuss this issue now. Everything is good in its season and I am sure this issue will be solved," he said.
Moratinos agreed with journalists on that Spain has definite problems with separatism. However, these problems are not so acute and can be solved, the Spanish Foreign Minister stressed.
