U.S. Military Operations on Pakistani Border are Positive Steps: Afghan Official

Afghanistan, Kabul, 28 October / Trend , corr. A.Hakimi /A spokesperson of the Afghan President Khamid Karzai said that the military operations by the United States on the borders of Pakistan were significant for security of Afghanistan.

The Afghanistan based correspondent of Trend reported that Homayun Hamidzade, the spokesperson of the President Karzai, said at the press-conference in Kabul on 28 October that the operations directed to murder Talibs on the border of Pakistan must be continued.

Afghanistan and Pakistan held the next meeting to develop the Regional Peace plan on 26 October. The negotiations with Talibs and provide of security in Afghanistan was touched upon at the meeting held between representatives of the both countries and chaired by the Afghan Foreign Minister Abdullah Abdullah, in Islamabad.

Hamidzade said that the operations by the United States on the border of Pakistan would not have negative affect on the Regional Peace plan and negotiations, as well. The operations are carried out against the groups, which do not want to reconcile with the Afghan Government.

Hamidzade called the results of the operations 'absolutely positive'.

The U.S. armed forces bombed the border regions in Pakistan in September.
