Azerbaijan, Baku, 20 October/ Trend / The current relations between Azerbaijani and the United Kingdom parliaments were discussed at the meeting of Azerbaijani Ambassador Fahraddin Gurbanov with the UK MPs John Mann and Mark Pritchard in London, Azerbaijani Embassy in UK said.
Azerbaijani diplomat informed UK MPs of reforms carried out in Azerbaijan in political and economic spheres and stressed significance of providing security in the Caucasus. Gurbanov also highlighted importance of the peaceful resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.
The meeting also focused on the presidential election that Azerbaijan held on 15 October. Ambassador said the election was democratic and transparent and met international standards.
