Georgia, Tbilisi, 30 October / Trend corr. N.Kirtzkhalia / Georgia hails beginning of the Geneva process. The Foreign Ministry of Georgia names the coordinated format of negotiations as acceptable. In accordance with the format, official participants of the negotiations comprise three sovereign countries, including Georgia, Russia and the United States, as well as international organizations, including the European Union (EU), the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and the United Nations (UN).

"As to representatives of the puppet regimes, which were established by the Russian occupation forces, they will personally participate in discussions of informal work group, where legitimate officials of these regions, including leadership of the legitimate government of Abkhazia and temporary administration of South Ossetia, will take part, as well," the Georgian Foreign Ministry said.

The Georgian Foreign Ministry expresses its regret for that Russia and officials of its puppet regimes prevent the Geneva process and unsuccessfully seek to change the coordinated format.

"Members of the Russian delegation offered absolute absurd requirements on 15 October by beginning of the plenary meeting. As these requirements were rejected, the Russian delegation refused from participation in the meeting except other participants and then broke off meeting of informal group through use of officials of the puppet regimes," the Ministry said.

The Georgian Foreign Ministry urges the world community not to give an opportunity to Russia to break off negotiation process and to take measures to prevent Russia from legalization of changes of borders, which were recognized by international law and community, through use of forces and ethnic cleansing.
