Azerbaijan, Baku, 31 October/ Trend , corr A. Huseynbala/ Advisory Majlis (Assembly) uniting pro-government parties of Azerbaijan, is expected to change into a bloc soon.

"Changing of the Advisory Majlis into a bloc is necessitated by time," Mammad Alizade, chief of Azerbaijan Democratic World Party said to Trend .

Advisory Majlis, which includes pro-government parties, was set up in 1998. It includes New Azerbaijan Party, Azerbaijan Democratic World party, Democratic Enlightenment Party, Independent Republics Party, Republican Party, Ana Vatan Party, Social Welfare Party, National Statehood Party, and Alliance for Azerbaijan. At the moment, New Azerbaijan Party holds chairmanship of the Majlis.

Joint action of political movements is crucial to building civil society, Alizade said.

"Changes are expected to be made to the Law on Political Parties. Improvement of this law requires more enhanced cooperation from the parties," he added.

As to the fact that Majlis did not act in a joint way in the presidential election, Alizade said the reason was NAP decision for the parties of the Majlis to take part in election separately.
