Azerbaijan, Baku, 4 November/ Trend , corr S. Kazimli/ The man who caused a traffic accident in Yasamal district of Baku which led to the death of a police colonel, has been detained, Central Police Office of Baku said to Trend .
An unknown driver ran his car into police colonel Mehdi Zulfugar oglu Safaraliyev, 49, deputy police chief for Personal Staff of Police Department of Garadagh district of Baku at 09:40p.m. in Sarifzade street on 3 November. The unknown escaped from the accident site. Safaraliyev died immediately after the accident.
Taleh Saleh oglu Shukurov, 23, the driver of VAZ-2107, who ran into the police chief, has been detained by the police officers of Department 28 of Yasamal Police Office. An investigation has been launched into the fact.
