Afghanistan, Kabul, 8 November / Trend corr. A. Hakimi/ A district administration chief has been killed last night in Ghoor province when he was driving to the center of province, Chighcharan to participate in a seminar titled "Collecting Illegal Arms", Trend correspondent reported from Kabul.
"Taliban insurgents killed M.Gasim Sedeque and injured his body guards" said Abdul Hai khatibi, spokesman to Ghoor governor.
He added that illegal armed Groups are responsible for such incidents. It is not the first time that government officials come under targeted ambush. Thus, local administration chief, district police chief, judge and prosecutor of the district along with several national police were killed in 2007. No one has undertaken the responsibility so far.
