EU Develops Report on PKK

European Union has developed a report on the activity of the Kurdish Workers Party (PKK) in the north of Iraq, the Zaman newspaper reported.

The document reflects relations between the Kurdish administration in the north of Iraq towards PKK. Less sympathy has been observed to the organization in the north of Iraq. Under the report, the Kurdish administration is concerned with PKK' activity.

The report says that the Kurdish administration, confirming of absence of ties with the organization, is informed of its bases and strategy. Despite of suspension of support to PKK in summer 2008, there is a tolerant attitude towards the organizations.

There are over 5,000 terrorists of PKK in the north of Iraq and about 2,000 - in Istanbul and Ankara. Murat Karayilan is separatist leader of the organization.
