Azerbaijan, Baku, 26 November / Trend corr. A.Huseynbala/ Panah Huseyn, the chairman of the opposition National Party of Azerbaijan (NPA), will not be removed from Musavat MP group.

"MP group functions independently and does not have any relations with any party," Nasib Nasibli, a member of Musavat MP group, told Trend on 26 November.

Musavat MP Group was established after the parliamentary elections in 2005. The group comprises four members of Musavat party, including Nasibli, Ikram Israfil, Arzu Samadbayli, Intizam Akbarli, and chairman of the National Party Panah Huseyn.

On 24 November the National Party was included in the Union For Democracy, uniting opposition parties. After it, removal of Huseyn from the MP group came to agenda because of non-representation of Musavat in the Union.

According to Nasibli, this issue was discussed at a meeting of MP group on 25 November: "We decided, representation of the party, where Huseyn is chairing, in any union does not contradict his activity in MP group," the member of Musavat said.
