Georgia, Tbilisi, 26 November /corr Trend N.Kirtzkhalia / "Mikheil Saakashvili, President of Georgia, did not receive support from the United States in connection with onset of military operations in Tskhinvali region," Erosi Kitsmarishvili, Georgian former ambassador to Russia, said at a news conference on 26 November .

Members of the Georgian government stated that the United States lighted 'green' to the commencement of launch military operations in Tskhinvali region, but he knows really that the White House did not approve it, Kitsmarishvili said.

Both Russia and Georgia are guilty of the events of August, former ambassador said. "Saakashvili wished war even in 2004. Russia, in turn, wanted to use this wish and gained its ends finally," Kitsmarishvili said.

Kitsmarishvili hopes that the international investigation will find the truth. "The investigation will figure out Russia and Georgia were preparing to this war, Georgia broke out the conflict and Russia answered it," he said.

He tried all ways to urge Saakashvili to refuse from the war, but in spite of it, it was impossible to avoid conflict, he said. Kitsmarishvili hopes that international inquiry will ascertain truth. "Inquiry will ascertain that Russia and Georgia prepared for the war that Georgia started the conflict and Russia answered in the same way," Kitsmarishvili said.

Members of temporary parliamentary commission to study the events of August did not allow him to finish his speech, Kitsmarishvili said with respect to a meeting of the commission on 25 November, which he left as a sign of protest.
