Georgia, Tbilisi, 11 Dec / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia/ The entry of Georgia and Ukraine into NATO is overly politicized, Speaker of the Georgian Parliament David
Bakradze said in Washington speaking at the National Democratic Institute of
USA.
"This simple technical matter, which must provide a mechanism of country's joining
the alliance, has been overly politicized entailing unnecessary tension," said
Bakradze.
He voiced his satisfaction that Georgia gained the annual NATO accession program,
which will be implemented within the NATO-Georgia Commission that was established
in September 2007.
"This gives rise to hope that the Georgia's accession to the alliance is an irreversible
and progressive process," he said.
