Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 17/ Trend , K. Zarbaliyeva/ Murder committed in Azerbaijan 15 years ago has been solved.
The murder of Mammadov Uzeyir Hasan oglu, of Ganja city and Khalilov Khudayat Khalil oglu, of Goranboy region, murdered in 1993, has been solved as a result of joint operations conducted by the officers of the Serious Crimes Investigation Office and Penitentiary Service at the Ministry of Justice.
Mustafayev Rauf Firuddin oglu, earlier charged with robbery, willful murder and other serious crimes, who served in military unit 709 of the Defense Ministry, killed commander of communication department Mammadov Uzeyir Hasan oglu on Aug. 8, 1993 in order to take Mararov gun from him.
Mustafayev took Mammadov to Ashagi Agasibayli village of Samukh region in VAZ-21063 car (E 46 -72 ГГ) and killed him by firing eight times at him.
On Sept. 13, 1993, Mustafayev installed an illegal check-point in Dalimammadli village of Goranboy section of Baku-Ganja highway. He stopped QAZ-24 car driven by Khalilov Khudayat Khalil oglu going to the Agamalioglu village of the same region and demanded to give the car to him. Mustafayev killed Khalilov as the latter refused to obey.
Mustafayev is charged in accordance with item 1 and 8 of article 94 of the Penal Code that was in effect until Sept. 1, 2000 and case was sent to the Serious Crimes Court on Dec. 16.
