Georgia, Tbilisi, Dec. 18/ Trend , N. Kirtskhalia/ A Georgian police was wounded by the Ossetian fighters as a result of fires at Khurvaleti village located near administrative body with South Ossetia. The police officer was on duty when South Ossetia opened fire. The wounded police was hospitalized in Gori. His life is out of danger.
Ossetian separatists fire at the Georgian police in this region and instigate permanent source of tension. The EU observers, who conduct monitoring in areas bordering with South Ossetia, are expected to arrive at the scene today. The monitors are not allowed to the self-declared republic in spite of agreement between EU and Russia.
