Azerbaijan, Baku, December 23 / Trend Corr. U.Sadigova/ The major reason for the resignation of Mahmoud al-Mashhadi has been different political pressures. As a result of it this can bring the country to face a crisis again.

Formerly some political groups demanded al Mshadi's resignation. Therefore he sent an application for his resignation to the Cabinet of Ministers, it was reported by vice-speaker Baha al-Araji through telephone to Trend from Bagdad, Iraq.

Today the chairman of Iraqi Parliament has officially resigned. Aljazeera TV channel reported.

Mahmoud al-Mashhadi was representing Sunni blok in the Parliament. So the Shia deputies have always been against him.

The decision for the resignation has been taken after which journalist Muntazar az-Zeyidi hurled shoes on the US President.

Iraqi government severely criticised the journalist's action and it has also raised some arguments in the parliament. After the process of the court for az-Zeyidi's action al-Mashhadani gave a statement of his resignation.
