Iraqi prime minister to trip to Iran

Ambassador of Iraq to Tehran stated that Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri- Al-Maliki will pay two-day visit to Iran on Jan 3, Iran's IRNA news agency reported.

Muhammad Majid Al-Sheikh, Iraqi Ambassador to Iran, said the meeting of joint commission of the two countries will be held within the visit. First assistant to the Iranian President Parviz Davoudi and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri- Al-Maliki will lead the commission.

Al-Sheikh added that the visit of Nouri- Al-Maliki will focus on improving bilateral relations and economic cooperation. Iraq's ministers responsible for trade, energy, transport and foreign policy will accompany Prime Minister during the visit.
