Georgian party calls for punishing officials involved in murder

Georgia's Conservative party calls for condemning 14 individuals involved in Sandro Girgvliani's murder.
Criminal cases must be filed against several high-ranking officials, party leader Kakha Kukava said at press conference today. Kukava first named Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili who he said must be punished for using his official powers to conceal a crime.
The party also calls for punishing then-Prosecutor General Zurab Adeishvili, ex-Prosecutor Giorgi Gviniashvili and head of the Tbilisi Investigation Department Gela Badriashvili.
Judges in the Tbilisi municipal, appellation and supreme courts must also be sentenced.
The party intends to publish lists of the guilty individuals who have gone unpunished and their crimes.
