Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Feb.10 / Trend corr E. Hasanov / On Feb.13, Czech Premier Mirek Topolanek will pay an official visit to Ashgabat to discuss cooperation perspectives of the two countries and interaction in the UN format, official Turkmen source reports.
Topolanek plans to meet with Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammadov.
The Czech Republic presides over the European Union chairmanship of which will be opened in Ashgabat in a couple of days. After the Russian-Ukrainian gas conflict which caused an energy crisis in the EU member-states, Brussels endeavors to speed up the construction of Nabucco gas pipeline in Europe. Ashgabat's official approach to this project still remains unknown.
An international summit on Nabucco will be held in Prague on May.17. The Turkmen President is invited to the event.
