Baku is hosting a workshop to develop cooperation between the Azerbaijani military and social organizations to implement democratic control over the armed forces, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) said.
The OSCE Baku Office organized a workshop to facilitate cooperation with NGOs engaged in human rights and social activities in the military sector.
"The civil society and military must work together to ensure democratic control over the armed forces," OSCE Baku Office Military and Political Officer John Macgregor said.
