This year, the UN and Azerbaijani government will design a strategic document to define the organization's activities in Azerbaijan for the next 5 years.
The document is called UNDAF. The program covers 2011-2015.
"The UN document to assist development in Azerbaijan will be based on national priorities," UN Baku Office representative Fargan Abbaszade said.
Azerbaijan has been a member of the UN since March 1992.
The UN plans to implement activities to inform the population about the Millennium Development Goals program in 2009.
Nine round-tables will be held in Azerbaijani regions.
The first round-table will be held in Guba on March 5.
