The Azerbaijani Association of Women Lawyers is one of the organizations getting grant from the U.S Department of State and the U.S Agency for International Development (USAID), Anne Derse, U.S ambassador to Azerbaijan, said at the meeting dedicated to the International Women's Day - March 8 and presentation of grant project.
Together with India and Egypt, Azerbaijan is one of the three countries of which organizations have got grant, the ambassador said.
The grant totaling $96,000 has been provided for one year. The project will be realized in four regions of Azerbaijan. Within the grant project, over 400 women will join the trainings to be enlightened of their rights.
