Over 30 percent of electorates vote in southern Azerbaijan by 12.00

Roughly 30.6 percent of electorates voted at the 75 Lankaran-Masalli Constituency and 76 Lankaran-Astara Constituency in the southern Azerbaijan by 12.00.

Some 24.6 percent of electorates voted at the 73 Lankaran City Constituency, 30.2 percent - 74 Lankaran Village Constituency, the constituencies told Trend .

There are 117 polling stations at the constituencies which registered 110,295 electorates.

A total of 1,210 monitors, including two international, are observing the election.

Azerbaijan is holding a referendum on March 18 to amend the Constitution.

The referendum campaign began on Feb. 18 and finished on March 16 at midnight. A total of 23,000 manat was allocated to every agitation group for campaign.

The Azerbaijani Constitution was adopted in 1995. Amendments and additions were made in 2002.
