Georgian national minorities establish political party

Georgian national minorities established a political party. The Alliance of human rights organizations and representatives of Equality ethnic minorities was transformed into a political party.

Presentation of the party's initiative group was held in the Sheraton Metekhi palace hotel. The party was created to involve national minorities living in Georgia to the political life of the country, the initiative group head Maya Chigoyeva-Tsaboshvili said. According to Chigoyeva-Tsaboshvili, the state must respect the honor and dignity of every citizen, regardless of his ethnic and religious affiliation.

"Presently, Georgia faces a huge challenge. Georgian experiences political, economic and social crisis. Citizens must contribute to the development of the country," Chigoyeva-Tsaboshvili added.

The party will include Georgians, Azerbaijanis, Armenians, Ossetins and representatives of other national minorities.
