Opposition demonstration in Georgia requires President to retire within 24 hours

The appeal of the community of Georgia was red at the demonstration of opposition by its leader, poet David Magradze on April 9.

"In spite of all attempts of the government to drive away the action, tens of thousands of people came to square and required resignation of the President. Entire Georgia is here. People came to say "no" to terror, fragmentation, falsification of elections, suffocation of freedom," the appeal says.
The appeal says that people requests Saakashvili to give up "his personal interests and retire".

Magradze said that the results of appeal will be clear after 24 hours, after which next plans of opposition will be announced.

Gathering in front of the House of Parliament, nearly 30,000 people voted for the appeal, raising their hands.
