The Minister of National Security of Azerbaijan Eldar Mahmudov received the chairman of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
At the meeting, the Minister of National Security, Lieutenant General Mahmudov estimated the visit of Nikolai Malomuzhev as the next step, taken in direction of further development of co-operation between appropriate structures of both countries, the Ministry told Trend .
Minister spoke of ensuring security in Azerbaijan and work, carried out by the Ministry in combating criminality, the problems and other factors, generated as a result of Armenian-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and also he informed of adequate measures conducted in connection with them.
At the meeting, they hold exchange of views regarding work in combating transnational organized criminality, terrorism, drug trafficking, processes of migration, and discussed the prospects for the development of business co-operation between the special service agencies of Ukraine and Azerbaijan.
The guest expressed satisfaction with the development of relations between the appropriate structures of the two countries and expressed confidence that the agreement on co-operation between the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine and Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan, which was signed yesterday, will be useful for further strengthening of ties between the countries.
