Tehran will cooperate with Washington, if the United States fulfills the promised changes, the Iranian foreign minister said in his interview with one of Japanese newspapers, the Iranian Fars news agency reported.

"We are studying the U.S.'s statements with attention and respect. If U.S. President Barack Obama's statements come true, changes will be possible from our side," Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said.

Mottaki visited Japan to partake in the International conference on economic assistance to Pakistan in Tokyo on April 17. Officials of 30 countries are attending the conference.

Mottaki supported the U.S. president's proposal to annihilate nuclear weapon in the world and said all countries have the right to use nuclear energy only with peaceful purposes.
