Georgia, Tbilisi, May 22 / Trend , N.Kirtzkhalia/
Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili said the current developments in Georgia are a real democracy." "What is happening in Georgia is a real democracy. I think that we have this, first of all thanks to the government, which is quite popular and I am heading this government. Secondly, of course, we have groups that do not like the government and they are free to protest," President Saakashvili said in his interview with the "Fox news" TV.
The president said "these people are minority and have enough money, as well as freedom of speech and the right to hold demonstrations".
"The thing is that our people can hold a demonstration. They may block roads, central streets, and at the same time, the state will operate normally. It is no surprise. Our police do not attack them and not disperse, as it usually occurs, for example, in Russia," Saakashvili said.
