Georgian and Iran's students conduct action of protest near Iran's embassy in Tbilisi

Action No violence! was held near Iran's embassy in Tbilisi On June 30 night. Tbilisi students protested against violence of Iran's authority with demonstrators.

Both Georgian students and Iran's students studying in Tbilisi universities participated in this action. They protested against dispersal of peaceful demonstrations in Tehran led to victims among protesting people.

Similar actions were held in different world countries near Iran's embassy at the same time.

Results of presidential elections held in Iran on June 12 caused numerous protests in capital. Current president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was elected for the second term. Supporters of opposition candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi consider results of elections as fixed.

According to official results, Iran's current president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad got 62.62 percent of votes. His major rival is Mir-Hossein Mousavi getting 33.75 percent of votes.

According to different information, victims of clashes between police and protesting people hit 13-19 people. Roughly 100 people injured. Over 450 people were arrested.
