Priorities of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Latvia will be discussed during Latvian President Valdes Zatler's official visit to Baku, Azerbaijani Ambassador to this Baltic country Tofig Zulfulgaov told Trend .
"The presidents' visit is scheduled for Aug. 9-13," the ambassador said.
The Latvian president will visit only Azerbaijan among all South Caucasus countries," Zulfugarov said over a telephone talk from Riga.
Zatlers will be accompanied by members of the government and Latvian businessmen intending to discuss with their Azerbaijani counterparts opportunities for expanding cooperation, Zulfugarov said.
The two countries are expected to sign several documents on bilateral cooperation during the visit.
According to the State Statistics Committee, as a result of 2008 goods turnover between Azerbaijan and Latvia made up $7.86 million.
