Kazakhstan invites head of Federation Council of Russian Federal Assembly

Chairman of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament, Vice-President of the OSCE PA Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev invited the head of the Federation Council of Federal Assembly of Russian Federation Sergey Mironov to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan, the senate told Trend .
"The chairman of the Senate of the Parliament, vice-president of the PA OSCE Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev invited the head of the Federation Council of Federal Assembly of Russian Federation Sergey Mironov to visit Kazakhstan during the meeting with him at the International Parliamentary Conference on European Security and meeting of the Council of CIS IPA, taking place in Kiev today," the senate said.
During the talks, Tokayev said that Kazakhstan highly optimistically assesses the state and prospects of establishing the Kazakh-Russian cooperation on a bilateral basis and within international organizations and forums.
Noting that participation in one of the most developed regional organization in the CIS area - the Eurasian Economic Community - is one of the priorities of Kazakhstan's foreign policy, Tokayev called for the development of further cooperation under the Customs Union, established upon the initiative of the presidents of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus.
