A meeting on the suppression of Uygurs' peace protests in Xinjiang-Uygur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China will be held in Kazakhstan, the Uygur national community said.
"The Uygur national community will hold an authorized meeting on the suppression of peace protests in Xinjiang-Uygur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China in Almaty, behind the Sari-Arka cinema, on July 19 at 11:00," the organization committee of initiative groups said on July 17.
Clashes, which saw assault and arson, took place in Xinjiang-Uygur autonomous region of the People's Republic of China on July 5. The number of victims exceeded 150 people and over 1,000 people were injured as a result of the disorder. A Kazakh citizen sustained head injuries.
