Complex in memory of victims of nuclear tests is planned to be set up in Kazakhstan, press-service of the Kazakh Senate told Trend .
"Monumental complex in memory of victims of nuclear tests on Semipalatinsk testing nuclear platform is planned to set up in Kaynar village of Abral region of Eastern-Kazakh region On August 29," the Senate said.
This day Semipalatinsk testing nuclear platform was closed 20 years ago.
"Scientific conference dedicated to 20-year-cease of tests is envisaged to be held," press-service said.
The Senate said that monument is being constructed on voluntary donations of citizens and funds of newly established public fund Abrali-Degelen.
