Georgian president to attend parliamentary debates

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will participate in the debates scheduled for July 20 at the Georgian parliament. According to data of majority, he will arrive at the parliament either at 18:00 or 20:00 Tbilisi time.

The debates will be held in accordance with the Article 138 of the regulations. To attend them, the majority and minority is granted 45 minutes for each, chairmen of the parliament and factions - each 15 minutes, deputy speaker - each 10 minutes and parliamentarians who do not belong to any faction - 5 minutes.

Factions, majority and minority will determine a number of reporters and distribute the time amongst them.

At the end of the debate, the parliamentary speaker has the right to use the limit of time and put the examined issues on voting.

Meanwhile, opposition-minded youth will hold protest actions at all three entrances to the parliamentary building. Members of the Join movement are rallying at all entrances to the parliament since yesterday.

Young intends to demand the president to release all "political prisoners", and punish those responsible for dispersing peaceful opposition actions
