Georgia, Tbilisi, Jul.22 / Trend N.Kirtzkhalia /
Americans participation will reinforce the EU monitoring mission in Georgia, Georgian Deputy Prime Minister Georgi Baramidze said.
The media reports about the American and Turkish military observers' participation in an observation mission were spread on July 21, and this information was enthusiastically hailed in Tbilisi. It is expected to become a subject of discussions during U.S Vise-President Joe Biden's visit to Georgia.
Expansion of the mission will enable to prevent provocations in the future. This serves as a basis for transforming an observation mission into police, Baramidze said.
Chairman of the parliamentary commission on defense and security Givi Targamadze agreed with Baramidze. "The deoccupation of this territory, but not the presence of observation mission in expanded format, is important for us. However, the U.S troops participation in the mission will be a step forward, Targamadze told journalists.
